Norwich Places of Interest Featured in The Last Barista of Norwich

This is the walking route taken by the author on her pre-book-launch visit to Norwich early November 2025, starting at her accommodation (5 minutes walk from Norwich Cathedral).  These Norwich places of interest are a must-see for tourists and loved by locals.

1. Early morning at Norwich Cathedral and Cloisters

One of the “must see” places of interest is Norwich Cathedral.  It is a magnificent example of Norman architecture whose construction began in 1096, making it over 900 years old. It is renowned for having the second-tallest spire in England at (after Salisbury Cathedral). The cathedral also boasts the largest monastic cloisters in the country.

2. Adam and Eve Pub

Opens at 12pm. If you find yourself in Norwich, you really must visit this historic pub.

4. Elm Hill and The Lanes

Elm Hill is a beautifully preserved, cobbled medieval street lined with historic timber-framed buildings that house specialist shops, galleries, and cafes, making it a highly photogenic and popular landmark. The Lanes is a thriving, extensive network of narrow, mostly pedestrian-only alleyways famous for its vibrant concentration of over 300 independent retailers, eateries, and unique cultural venues.
